SET60.EXE, SET72.EXE, and SET75.EXE set the refresh rate on a Catseye/X XGA-2 adaptor to 60, 72, and 75 Hertz respectively. All three are OS/2 VIO apps. Some Catseye/X owners are having difficulty in setting the correct refresh rate on their systems due to the lack of MONxxxx.DGS files specific for thier monitors. IBM has pledged to support the XGA-2 on non-IBM hardware, but until that suport becomes a reality, FutureComm has undertaken to provide basic utilities for DOS/Windows, OS/2, and NT. The Catseye distribution diskette contains an IBM-written utility called XVGARATE.EXE which can be used to set the refresh rate in DOS or an OS/2 DOS session. SET60.EXE, SET72.EXE, and SET75.EXE provide the same functions in an OS/2 full screen session. IMPORTANT NOTE: SOME MONITORS MAY BE DAMAGED IF THEY ARE SET TO AN IMPROPER REFRESH RATE. FUTURECOMM DISCLAIMS ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR SUCH DAMAGE. USE THESE UTILITIES AT YOUR OWN RISK.
